For the years leading up to having my son Jayden, I always felt to lose weight I did EXTREME things to make it happen. Extreme amounts of exercise and extreme diets which ultimately led me to failure after failure, rebound after rebound.
Once I had him I had an epitome and decided, I’M DONE. I’m never going to struggle and sacrifice anymore, I just want to be healthy and feel GOOD.
I stopped the hours of cardio and workouts.
I stopped listening to the critical voice in my head and replaced it with one that was compassionate and encouraging.
I stopped having so many rules around good or bad foods and enjoyed my favorite foods in moderation while eating shoe nutritious food the other 80% of the time.
I stopped picking myself apart in the mirror and started to really appreciate how amazing my body was.
To my astonishment that switch in mindset was life changing.
As the months postpartum went by I started to lose the weight and get into shape. The crazy thing was- I wasn’t trying very hard! Not like I used to.
I just made time and space in my days to do things that made me feel good and happy. Not from a place of obligation, but from a place of deeply caring for my well-being so I could be a great Mom to my baby.
I realized, if this could work for me, it could work for others too and so I was inspired to create Fembodied Fitness.
For over a decade, I've been dedicated to the art of body transformation. In the last three years, I've pioneered a revolutionary approach that has proven transformative for countless menopausal, premenopausal, and BUSY women.
In my journey, I've witnessed a common struggle among many busy women—a relentless cycle of guilt and shame for not prioritizing their own well-being alongside their familial responsibilities.
